In the spirit of the idea of our civic association "to help where it is needed", we did not slack off and in 2023 we implemented several nice projects

Thanks to your 2% of your taxes, as well as other financial contributions and donations, our rehabilitation services have reached those who desperately needed them. With 90% of the funds raised, we enabled patients to receive over 100 days of intensive rehabilitation. We used the remaining funds for other support and outreach activities:

With HENDI Solidarity Ambassador, successful paratenist and motivational speaker Tomas Masaryk, we launched a project to provide financial assistance for therapies to selected clients with a strong human story
Green project in the field of social assistance allowed us to donate useful new tools to families in need
We have made a special HENDI handbike available to all sporty clients of the centre and visitors to Piešt'any, who could test it on the local cycle paths during the summer thanks to our cooperation with the KIA Foundation.
Funding from the Trnava Region obtained within the project Follow me! allowed us to expand the portfolio of services of the HENDI CENTRE with a new rehabilitation method through the Nirvana virtual reality system and to offer motivational exercise to our clients
By organizing leisure activities, theatre performances and workshops in our premises, we have made it possible to enjoy moments of fun and relaxation not only for our rehabilitation clients, but also for the general public. The summer party, the farewell to summer or the Hellowen party delighted both young and old visitors. Thanks to the participation of children from Piešt'any and the surrounding area, we were able to further develop the integration model and promote the idea of meeting and helping
Red Noses from the Red Nose Clowndoctors helped therapists and children to cope with a challenging rehabilitation day during the celebration of the third birthday of the centre
The charity pre-Christmas Swazar dedicated to Branko and Simone was the highlight of the year. A puppet show about the devil Kolofon, beautiful books and a rich raffle contributed to the beautiful proceeds and support of two pediatric patients of the HENDI CENTRE

And what would we like to achieve in 2024?

Our plan is:

Continue to strongly support rehabilitation through financial support projects
To organise more leisure activities with a focus on sport for children with physical disabilities
Organise professional training activities for health professionals
Promote not only physical rehabilitation, but also activities to support the protection of the mental health of patients and their families in the challenging process of rehabilitation treatment
