Chiara Mastella is a well-known Italian physiotherapist from the Polyclinic in Milan, founder and coordinator of SAPRE - a support centre for families diagnosed with SMA and for thirty years she has specialised in the treatment of children with the most severe form of SMA. In addition to her work as a physiotherapist in the Milan centres, Chiara provides consultations and training for families with a child with SMA as well as for physiotherapists and doctors worldwide.
