The feeling that I can alleviate their pain and improve their quality of life is very fulfilling for me. I watch their progress, I build a relationship with them. Every patient is different, which makes the work varied and interesting. Plus, the field of manual therapy is constantly evolving, so it requires continuous education. This gives me room for personal growth and moving forward."

With their incredible strength, they set an example for us to fight for life and health, whether our own or that of our loved ones. That is why my work fills me with positive emotions and I am happy to be able to help people who need it the most."
Mgr. Katarína Bolerázska
Speech therapy, professional guarantor of the HENDI CENTRE for the field of speech therapy
Graduate of the Department of Speech Therapy, Faculty of Education, Comenius University in Bratislava, specializing in clinical speech therapy. Practice since 2000. She works with clients suffering from neurological diseases - congenital and after accidents and strokes, as well as with clients with language deficits and problems in speech development. She has extensive experience with foreign clients - from Italy, Germany, Austria, Russia, Sweden, England, Lithuania and Brazil. She is an active speaker of English, German and Russian and a passive speaker of Italian and Arabic.
" Removing a little thing that a person doesn't even notice at first and doesn't think is that important can ultimately change their life. What I enjoy most about this work is the great joy clients get from even the small steps in communication that they are able to achieve. The moments when I can show parents that their child understands speech, just needs to calm down and we need to give them a way to express themselves are worth it."
Mgr. Monika Žováková
Speech Therapy
Graduate of the Institute of Psychological and Speech Therapy Studies at the Pedagogical Faculty of the Charles University in Bratislava, majoring in speech therapy. Practice since 2013. Speaks English, Russian, passive French.
"Speech therapy has always been a very attractive field for me because it stands at the intersection of interesting sciences, such as medicine, psychology, pedagogy and linguistics - and is therefore a multidisciplinary field. And what is essential for me personally, the work of a speech therapist requires, in addition to professional knowledge, a human dimension, because behind every client - whether a child or an adult - there is a specific life story with fears for the future, but also small or bigger victories over oneself. As a speech and language therapist, I am happy to be of help to them on this, often difficult, life journey."
Mgr. Miroslava Petrík
Speech Therapy
Graduate of the Department of Speech Therapy, Faculty of Education, Charles University in Bratislava, Clinical and School Speech Therapy and the Faculty of Medicine, SZU Bratislava, specialization Clinical Speech Therapy. Practice since 2009. Speaks English.
"I've always wanted to work with people, to create something creative and to see the results of my work at the same time. In "speech therapy" it is necessary to combine theoretical knowledge with practical ones and to find creative ways to help every day. It is exhausting, tricky and long-term work, but the feeling of satisfaction is all the more intense when the desired results, even if only small progress, are achieved. My dream was to have a job that would also be my hobby . I am happy that I have succeeded in realizing it. Working with people fulfils me."
Mgr. Sofya Razuvaeva

"What I enjoy most about my job is the contact with the patient. When we feel we understand each other, we are open and ready to listen to each other. During art therapy we create and use different techniques and materials. The patient chooses what they want to present to the world today and how they will do it. There is no right or wrong here. It is moods, emotions, experiences told through sand, paint, plasticine ... . I like how some of the components of the art therapy method can be beautifully applied in special education classes."

"I came into contact with physiotherapy through sport. I started working with neurorehabilitation during my undergraduate internship. It's a very interesting field for me. It's not just working and exercising with the muscles themselves, but also working with such a sensitive organ as the brain and nerves. What I love about my job is that I can help, explain and pass on knowledge to those who need it the most. The greatest satisfaction is when I see that people accept the help and try to follow the path we show them."
Bc. Ondrej Mášik

"I love working and interacting with people and also the need to help those who deserve it the most. This job has taught me to enjoy ordinary things like getting up in the morning and going to work or just "wiping my ass" which is an impossible activity for many others. I love being able to help people to at least partial self-care and other lost abilities integrating them back into the places they used to love."
Bc. Soňa Krchnáková
Head physiotherapist of the Department of the youngest children
Graduate of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Institute of Physiotherapy, Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation, specialization in Physiotherapy, Children's Bobath Therapist. Practice 23 years. Speaks German, Russian, partly English.
"Fate led me to work with handicapped children, that's when I decided to study physiotherapy. I worked as a physiotherapist with older children and adults for several years. The turning point in my life was the birth of my twin sons. As they were born prematurely, a round of examinations, uncertainty and daily exercise and stimulation began. After returning from maternity leave in 2013, I therefore started to focus more intensively on physiotherapy for young children under 3 years old. Working with young children is fascinating to me. The child's central nervous system is still developing and we can influence, reverse and save a lot with our techniques and experience. Giving someone hope for a better quality of life is always meaningful to me."
Mgr. Michaela Mikušová

"At first I just wanted to go to some college. But then I met people who were involved in the field, they were professionally good and they enjoyed the work. These people showed me the goal... "As a 19-year-old, I had back problems and saw a physiotherapist. I really enjoyed this job helping people and decided to study physiotherapy. At the HENDI CENTRE I work with the suspension system. Although it is sometimes very exhausting mentally or physically, the resulting help to clients always energizes me. I plan to further my education as a physiotherapist and thus help to develop outpatient therapy at the HENDI CENTRE, so that rehabilitation is available to as many people as possible for whom it is essential to improve their health."

In this work, it is nice to see how the influence of exercise makes people learn to feel their body and use it properly.
