First, we in the audience listened attentively, then actively presented
Since 2020, the HENDI CENTRE has been providing comprehensive rehabilitation care for children diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA type I-IV) from all over Slovakia and neighbouring countries. In front of the professional public we had the opportunity to present the work and results of rehabilitation with SMA patients through expert lectures by MUDr. Olga Boldišová, child neurologist, expert in the field of physiotherapy, balneology and medical rehabilitation, expert guarantor of the HENDI CENTRE, as well as our main physiotherapist of the Department of the youngest children Bc. Sone Krchnáková.

"The topic of my lecture was rehabilitation methodologies of HENDI CENTRE used in children with SMA diagnosis. The head of the Department of Child Neurology of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the National Institute of Pediatric Neurology, Associate Professor Kolníková, thanked us for our work. I am glad that we are gradually becoming more visible and the professional public is gradually beginning to perceive and respect us, while we are also establishing new contacts with experts. There were many interesting lectures in the SMA block, whether about treatment, diagnostics or in the field of orthopaedics," summarized Sonia Krchnáková.

We apply new knowledge in practice
"The multidisciplinary approach, education and the opportunity to expand knowledge in the management of patients with neuromuscular diseases, which include spinal muscular atrophy SMA, is important to us and is part of the educational process for physiotherapists. The exchange of experience, innovative approaches and the opportunity to engage in an active lecture by an experienced physiotherapist binds us to the continuous improvement of the quality of rehabilitation care provided," said Jana Koyšová, CEO of HENDI CENTER.
